Welcome To The Jefferson County Fair
Demolition Derby Presented By "The Southern Grudge Match Association"
Running:
A mandatory drivers meeting will be held 30 min prior to event. ALL drivers MUST attend. Cars may arrive at pit area by 3pm.
1. Safety belt, and DOT approved helmet are required to run. Safety glasses or face shield is requested for for safety. If your helmet comes off during the race you are disqualified.
2.NO deliberate hitting of the driver's door.
3.A vehicle will be disqualified if the driver's door comes open during the event.
4.Vehicles must have dependable breaks at all times.
5. 1 min limit is enforced by the track officials for re-starts and 15 sec to make competitive contact with another car. Hits must be aggressive. (No sandbagging....LOVE tapping)
6. A $150 fee is required to protest a car. The protest MUST be made before the 1st call of the 1st heat. If item is found to be true you get money back, if it is found untrue TSGMA keeps the money.
7. NO riding on the outside of the car with the except of the Fairest of the Fair riding on the “ prettiest car winner “ . (additional safety regulations may apply)
8.Track boundaries must be observed at all times. Any car on top of tires or over tires, rolled on side or top of car will be disqualified.
9. Long pants or jeans are required to be worn by driver during event.
10. Cars must make initial contact within 20 secs of start of event.
11. If you qualify for the main but are unable to come back you will receive last place and still receive prize money.
Pit Rules
1. No one under the age of 16 in the pits.
2. Everyone entering the pits must be wearing a new band for that day of event. Each driver is allowed to have 3 other people in the pits 2 of which you will have to pay $10 each for. Each person in the pits will be required to sign a release form.
3. NO fighting permitted. If you or a crew member of yours is involved in a fight you and the crew will be disqualified and removed. NO ALCOHOL, DRUGS, OR FIREARMS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
